The Hastings Hockey Board of Directors has an important update regarding jerseys for our boys and girls traveling teams.

New Player-Owned Jerseys for 2024-2025 Season
Our current collection of association-owned travel hockey jerseys is nearing the end of its lifespan, and many need replacement. Therefore, in March, the Board voted to move to player-owned jerseys for the following team levels starting in the 2024-2025 season: Peewees, U12, Bantams, and U15.

Key Points to Note:

1. Transition to Player-Owned Jerseys: All players at the Peewee, Bantam, U12, and U15 levels will be required to purchase and own their jerseys for the upcoming season. This change aims to ensure that each player has a well-fitting and high-quality jersey
2. Jersey Designs: We have selected new home and away jerseys, and their designs will be revealed at a later date. Stay tuned for this exciting update!
3. Costs and Purchase Process: The cost for a home/away pair of jerseys and socks will be $150.00, payable during the registration process later this summer. Since this is the first year of the new jersey designs, all players at these levels will need to purchase a set. In future years, you will not need to buy new jerseys if your current set fits and is in good condition with the correct jersey number.
4. Jersey Numbers: We are developing a fair and efficient system for assigning jersey numbers. Details will be communicated soon.
5. Player Names: The Board decided against including player names on the jerseys. Therefore, jerseys will be ordered without names. 
6. Fitting Sessions: Watch your email and our social media channels for announcements about upcoming jersey fitting sessions at the Hastings Arena. All U12, U15, Peewee, and Bantam players should attend these sessions to ensure they order the correct size jerseys.

Additional Information for Squirt and U10 Teams:
For the 2024-2025 season and beyond, Squirt and U10 teams will continue using the current travel jerseys. As players enter the Peewee and 12U levels, that is when they will be required to transition to player-owned jerseys.
