Hello Hastings Hockey!

I hope everyone is having a terrific summer as it sure is flying by!  Our Hastings Hockey 2023-24 season is coming up and I would like to provide a few updates on the upcoming season and registration.  Please find the information below:

2023-24 Registration Process:

• Online registration will open on Monday, July 24th at 8:00AM
• Registration will close for all travel levels (10U/Squirts on up) on Sunday, August 27th.

Updates on "Team Fees" for Travel Levels (10U/Squirts on up):

• There will NO LONGER be season-end "team fees" for our travel hockey teams.
• Registration costs will look higher this season compared to prior year's as the upfront registration costs will cover all ice times, games, scrimmages, and 3 tournaments each for our travel teams and therefore eliminate having to pay and collect team fees/additional charges at the end of the season.  Also, for any teams that advance to regions and state, they will not incur any additional fees at the end of the season.
• Like previous years, registration costs can be paid in full or applied to a payment plan.
• As always, our Learn Hockey program is Free!!

Updates on Codes of Conducts, Agreements, and Policies:

• This coming season we will be moving to a paperless process with our Codes of Conducts, Agreements, and Policies.
• All policies and agreements will be available for review and acknowledgement during the registration process eliminating the need for paper copies to be signed and handed in to your respective team's manager at the beginning of the season.

Hastings Girls Hockey Day 2023:

• Your Hastings Hockey Board of Directors are excited to announce that this season we will have a Hastings Girls Hockey Day on November 11.
• The day will be all about our girls hockey program (and Hastings Girls Varsity Hockey program) and will feature home games for our 10U, 12U and 15U teams, a home varsity girls game vs Red Wing, In-House Girls Hockey Fun Day, an all girls/all levels hockey picture at the arena, and much more!!
• More details will be coming on this in the future.

HHB Hockey Development Committee:

• Hastings Hockey is stepping up our game (literally) for hockey development.  2 Months ago your Hastings Hockey Board of Directors approved the implementation of a Hockey Development Committee with the sole focus of hockey player and coaching development.
• We are very excited to announce the following committee members:

  • Greg Jacobson
  • Dustin Strong
  • Also including involvement from our Hastings Girls Varsity Hockey Coach Jim Joseph and Hastings Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Matt Klein
