The Hastings Hockey Association is a volunteer organization that relies on the volunteer assitance of all its members. To ensure everyone is doing their part each set of parents/guardians will be required to complete volunteer credits based on level of play, with a maximum of 36 credits per family. Parents/guardians will be required to provide a volunteer deposit check per player. These checks will be shredded or returned upon request at the end of the season once all required volunteer credits have been completed and verified by the Director of Volunteers. The Director of Volunteers will determine what qualifies as a volunteer credit. Volunteer credits will be tracked utilizing the online DIBS system through the HHB website. The credits and deposits are as follows:
*Jerseys will not be issued until team managers at ALL levels have received the required deposit.
For the 2011-2012 season we will be using the DIBS system to assign and track our volunteer opportunities. You will be asked to login in to the Hastings Hockey website to view and claim all available volunteer opportunities.
You will login using the account and password used to register your player(s). PLEASE DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.
Click on the DIBS tab located at the top right of the screen, then log in. Available DIBS sessions will appear.
You can search each DIB session using either the list view or calendar view.
If shifts are posted more than one month from the current view, they will not appear under the list view unless the search dates are extended. If no shifts appear after changing the search parameters, all of the shifts for that session have already been filled.
To cancel a claimed shift, access your claimed DIB item through Utools in the upper left hand corner (this feature will only appear if you are logged in) or by clicking on Dibs on the right hand side of the page and then "My Dibs".
Select the claimed item you would like to cancel and then select "Cancel this dib item". Your DIB item will be automatically cancelled or your request will be sent to the volunteer director administering the DIB session.
